Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Bradford Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service for a band 6 Speech and Language Therapist in the Inpatient Mental Health Team. This post is for 33.75 hours per week.
We are also very happy to consider a Band 5 to 6 development opportunity to welcome any clinicians who would like to develop skills and competencies within Inpatient Mental Health SLT services.
The successful candidate will be joining a supportive team of Speech and Language Therapists already working elsewhere in our Adult Community and Mental Health Team. The post holder will benefit from:

The post will also be supported by a Band 7 Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist, Principal Speech and Language Therapist and the AHP lead.
The successful applicant will work across inpatient services in Bradford and Keighley to provide speech, language, communication and eating and drinking assessment and intervention to adults with mental ill health.

To work effectively as part of the Speech and Language Therapy provision within the adult mental health and forensic inpatient services across Bradford and Airedale by ensuring both communication and dysphagia pathways are developed and followed by all staff.
Training and clinical supervision is provided, and standards of service provision are set, monitored, and maintained.
This role will promote good communication standards so that people who use the service, their families and carers are involved in decisions about their care.
To manage a caseload of both routine and complex cases
