We are currently seeking two Full Time Speech Pathologists to join our multi-discipline team. New graduates are also welcome to apply. Part-time employment will also be considered.
ABOUT YOU
The right type of person to join our team is one who can work independently with regular support but who can also work successfully within a team. We are looking for those with great communication skills, a professional work ethos and commitment to evidence-based practice.
We recognise that time management and organisational skills will develop ‘on the job’ and with support, but those who have already harnessed and can demonstrate these will be at an advantage.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a new starter, your job would involve the following:
- Gradual introduction to the workforce, including induction, orientation and multidisciplinary shadow session opportunities.
- Clinical supervision from your Team leader, weekly to begin with
- Working closely alongside a diverse range of professions, including Allied Health Assistants, Behaviour Support, Creative Arts Therapy, Dietetics, Early Intervention Specialist Teachers, Music Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Play Therapy, Psychology, Speech Pathology
- Monthly peer mentoring for the Speech Pathology team, as well as some larger meetings including in house Professional Development
- A variety of IT items and systems giving you access to information, resources and peer support
- Administrative support for bookings and more
- Opportunities to socialise with your colleagues and feel a sense of belonging
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide quality family centredOccupational Therapy assessment,intervention, and supportto childrenwith developmental delaysordisabilities.
- Complete professional written documentation for intervention and support.
- Provide timely consultancy support tocollaborative team members,families,and other agencies.
- Liaise with families, primary contact and other stakeholders regarding the child’s goals and how OT intervention will work towards these goals.
- Complete paperwork forfunding bodiesin a timely manner.
- Collaboration with clients, families, group homes, client support networks, schools, and interdisciplinary disability related health teams working within the person-centred practice paradigm, considering the individual’s needs, abilities, preferences, choices, and aspirations.
- Maintaining the highest standards of clinical care by participating in continuing education to updating skills and knowledge specific to expertise.
- Maintain professional knowledge and procedures required by funding bodies – NDIS/Medicare.
- Achievebillable targets.
