Job Description

As one of our Speech Pathologists, you will

  • Maintain an independent workload based at one of our partnered schools and in your area of interest in the community.
  • Have ample time for preparation, professional development and administrative tasks whilst meeting very reasonable targets
  • Work with and provide 1:1 and group support with Children, teenagers and adults
  • Build and maintain relationships with teachers and support them in integrating intervention strategies with learning objectives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders in the wider community, where necessary
  • Have the option to add community clients to your caseload to include additional areas of clinical interest
  • Work with the individuals, families and their key stakeholders to develop their individualised plan
  • Be part of a transdisciplinary team to develop holistic therapy plans for school-based and home-based intervention and support programs
  • Enjoy working in a flexible environment alongside experienced therapists
  • Work with individuals and families in your area of interest and passion
  • Be provided with location-based timetables to limit the travel from your home and throughout the day
  • Have the enthusiasm to work in a team and contribute to everyone’s success
  • Take part in weekly clinical supervision and mentoring to ensure you feel supported and to promote your growth and development
  • Contribute to weekly discipline-specific and transdisciplinary meetings to learn from and share your knowledge and skills
  • Gain experience in working with a diverse or specialist caseload dependent on your interests
  • Full Time and Part Time roles available

Desired Skills and Experience

You are a speech pathologist that has

  • The passion for helping clients to reach their fullest potential and to hit their goals through fun yet functional therapy
  • Experience as a speech pathologist
  • Ability to work in and contribute to a team
  • Skills in client-centred and family-centred practice
  • Effective organisational and time-management skills
  • High levels of communication skills to support advocacy, mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution requirements

You will need to have

  • Relevant Speech Pathology Degree/Masters qualification
  • SPA Registration
  • Working With Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • National Police Check
  • Driver’s Licence
