Role Details
When you volunteer at the Canadian Cancer Society you have real impact. It takes all of us to take on cancer. Volunteer with us at one of our signature events in your community on event day. You can choose a specific role and shift (s) based on availability. You can also assist us when we need event support on an on-call basis in your own community.
Description
The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run.

This year’s event will be taking place on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

  • Would you like to help other participants learn more about cancer that runs in families and genetic testing?
  • Volunteers are needed to be peer educators at sites across Canada.
  • 3 hours of free virtual training will be provided by certified genetic counsellors before the event, and you will be joined by certified genetic counsellors on site.

Why we need you
It is the largest single-day, volunteer-led event in Canada in support of the breast cancer cause.
