Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Splunk Engineer, you will evaluate and implement new data monitoring solutions, provide third-level operational support and help investigate and resolve incidents that lower support levels could not resolve.
For any issues related to infrastructure and application performance within the DHL Group environment, you are our superhero.
THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES LOOK LIKE:
- Configure and manage data inputs to collect log data from various sources (on Prem), ensuring accurate indexing and searchability.
- Create and optimize searches using Splunk’s Search Processing Language (SPL), develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Monitor and optimize Splunk environment performance, ensuring efficient data indexing and querying.
- Set up and manage alerts to notify stakeholders of specific conditions or anomalies detected in the data.
- Manage and implement changes to the production and test environments, ensuring compliance with performance and security standards.
- Provide third-level day-to-day operational support, investigate and resolve incidents, and collaborate with other IT support teams and vendors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
- Splunk Certified Enterprise Admin or Developer certification is a huge plus.
- Experience in Scripting language such as Python or others.
- Strong knowledge of various operating systems (Linux/Windows), database technology, and SQL.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and organize tasks under time and workload pressure.
