ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- One (1) year of experience in child protection and/or child welfare.
- Currently hold full delegation (C6), or immediately eligible upon being hired to obtain full delegation (C6) under the Child, Family and Community Services Act (CFSCA).
Responsibilities:
As a Child Protection Worker, After Hours Response, you will offer vital support to individuals and families facing crises after hours, including weekends and holidays. Your primary focus will be to ensure the safety and well-being of at-risk children while helping families navigate difficult situations. This role allows you to make a meaningful impact in your community by providing essential after-hours child protection services. You have the opportunity to work independently in high-pressure situations, where your skills can directly help those in need and promote a safer, more inclusive environment for everyone. Candidates should be excited about the diversity of the work, which includes assessing immediate safety, screening reports, performing wellbeing checks, extending safety and family plans, serving court documents, and more. Each shift brings unique challenges and opportunities, ensuring that no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to handle complex cases independently, manage crises, and make a real difference in their community during emotionally charged situations.
