Description:

WHAT IS A SPONSORED RESIDENTIAL PROVIDER?

Through AccessStar Community Living Services’ Sponsored Residential program, providers open their homes to support individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, helping them thrive in a nurturing environment. As a Sponsored Residential Provider, you become a key part of someone’s journey, empowering them to build life skills, achieve personal goals, and foster independence. This unique, family-model care allows individuals to live in a home that’s creatively tailored to their needs, offering lifelong opportunities for success and community connection.
Our providers bring individuals into their family and community, offering both companionship and meaningful support. The service includes your chosen backup workers, as well as ongoing support from our program staff and access to behavioral, nursing, and other services. You’ll be supported every step of the way and have access to a network of peers and mentors who share your passion for making a difference.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

  • Ability to use a computer and complete documentation.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities (1+ year preferred; training opportunities available).

Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals in your home, helping them create genuine relationships and find purpose in daily life.
  • Assist individuals in achieving personal goals, building life skills, and increasing their independence.
  • Provide care in a dynamic home environment, adjusting to the individual’s changing needs and preferences.
  • Work closely with our team, including receiving ongoing training, mentorship, and assistance as needed.
