ABOUT US

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats, and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These include Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park, and Bushy Park.
We also manage other important public spaces such as Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. With 77 million visits every year, our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are some of the most visited attractions in the UK.
We are now looking for two Sports Administrators / Duty Officers to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 36 hours per week. You will be required to work a minimum of one weekend per month and regular evening work is required in summer (May - August).

Responsibilities:

As a Sports Administrator / Duty Officer, you will support the day-to-day operations and management of The Hub and 50 acres of sports pitches in Regent’s Park.
Ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly, you will support customers by taking bookings and providing great service and advice. You will utilise the sports booking system, raise invoices, and manage debt, assisting with small sports and corporate events.
You will oversee the use of The Hub and sports pitches, ensuring safety and acceptable standards of behaviour and conduct pitch inspections to ensure safe playing conditions.

Additionally, you will:

  • Ensure that internal staff, contractors, and volunteers provide a safe, high-quality experience
  • Assist in generating income from sports bookings and events
  • Work with partners to create opportunities for under-represented groups
