ROLE PURPOSE

We are currently recruiting for the position of a Sports Centre Duty Manager. Stewarts Sports Centre is a dual-purpose facility. It supports physical activity programmes for Service Users of Stewarts Care delivered through the Adapted Physical Activity (APA) Programme and provides sporting services to the local community, special interests groups and the broader public.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for working with finance staff to ensure all criteria are met for End of Month and end of Year accounts.
  • Carry out a range of finance tasks including the receipt, collection and banking of income.
  • Offer a quality customer service by directly interacting with members of the public, and developing others to effectively fulfill this activity.
  • Manage the Purchase Order system for new equipment and supplies needed by the Sports Centre through.
  • Prepare and manage the budget and finances of Stewarts Sports Centre. Ensuring staff engage in best practice when responsible for cash and other financial duties.
  • Further develop income streams by promoting the use of Stewarts Sports Centre to the public, where appropriate, investigating potential sources of funding and assisting in completion of funding applications.
  • Assess all reported incidents and accidents and liaising with Risk Management where necessary.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary programmes with other departments.
  • Carry out an induction for new staff that includes internal training on all duties within the key areas.
  • Facilitate staff development through establishment and development of supervision, mentoring and support structures within the department.
  • Oversee fair and timely annual leave approval.
