Description:

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Sports Physiotherapist to deliver an excellent service to teams and athletes who are selected to be part of the University of Oxford’s high-performance sport support service. The Sports Physiotherapist will be responsible for planning, delivering and operating the sports injury and rehabilitation services at Oxford University Sport, delivering an excellent service to students, staff and local community members.
This role will be heavily delivery focussed, which will include clinic delivery, 1:1 consultation and supporting student athletes with rehabilitation through clinic time and their technical and S&C programmes. The role will therefore include some evening, early morning and/or unsociable hours work. Other non-delivery work time distributed between planning/reviewing clinic times, promoting available services, recruiting and retaining appropriate consultant practitioners to compliment the services offered, administrating booking processes and payments, communicating with partner bodies and other administrative tasks associated with the operation of our sport injury and rehabilitation services.
As part of this role, you will work also alongside other members of the sports services team and specialists from other areas of sports science to successfully provide a holistic athletic development service to Oxford’s student teams and athletes. Working as part of the Sports Federation team you will provide the highest level of service to selected University sports teams and individual students through the Blues Performance Scheme, Oxford University’s high-performance sport support service. Support offered through the Blues Performance Scheme (BPS) incorporates strength and conditioning, sport psychology, sports nutrition, subsidised physiotherapy, lifestyle support; with other administrative assistance being provided by the wider Sports Federation team.
This is a full-time, fixed term post until 31 July 2025.
