The Faculty of Kinesiology invites applications for Sessional Instructors to teach the courses listed below in the 2025 Spring and Summer terms (pending funding and sufficient enrolments).
The Spring 2025 term runs from May 5 to June 16, followed by the Registrar final exam period, which runs June 18-21. The Summer 2025 term runs June 30 to August 12, followed by the Registrar final exam period, which runs August 14-18. Please see the academic schedule for additional important dates and deadlines.

KNES 201: ACTIVITY: ESSENCE & EXPERIENCE

Participate in various activities and movement patterns and the study of the fundamental factors that influence the activities we choose and the way we move. Please note that this posting is for the lecture and activity components of the course, both of which are instructed in-person.
Lecture: MTWR, 12:00-12:50
Activity Labs: MTWR, 13:00-14:20
In their cover letter, applicants must clearly state what two activities they are able to instruct for the activity labs (2 x 3-week blocks).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

For all courses listed above, applicants must meet the following qualifications/requirements:

  • Earned a PhD in Kinesiology or a related field; a master¿s degree in Kinesiology or a related field will be considered.
  • Evidence of successful teaching at the university level and related to the content of the course(s) to which application is being made.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Experience teaching virtually will be considered an asset.
