Emtec Fire Systems, a leading provider of fire protection solutions across the country and are seeking an experienced Sprinkler Design Engineer / Manager to join our team at our HQ in Uddingston.
As a Sprinkler Design Engineer/ Manager with Emtec Fire Systems you will be focused on creating compliant Sprinkler System designs according to current British standards and which align with our client’s requirements. You will work closely with the team and Project Manager where you will play a crucial role in the success of the business.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Experience designing and estimating Sprinkler systems for large projects.
• Strong knowledge of the Sprinkler industry, products and standards.
• Able to read architectural and electrical diagrams and design in accordance with current Sprinkler standards.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask, plan, and prioritise.
• Great team player and collaborator
• A collaborative team plater with a proactive approach.
• Confident user of the Microsoft Office Suite
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

• Develop Sprinkler system Designs tailored to client requirements ensuring compliance with current standards and best practices.
• Review technical specifications to fully understand client requirements.
• Select the most suitable components and systems for each project.
• Create detailed design documentation, including drawings and technical reports.
• Conduct battery design calculations and produce technical content for quotes and tenders.
• Coordinate with suppliers for technical data and pricing: prepare estimates and customer quotations.
• Build and maintain customer relationships.
• Assist with Sprinkler audits and support the team on Fire and Security matters.
