Description:

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED SQL DBA WITH EXPERTISE IN, SNOWFLAKE, AND AWS CLOUD TO JOIN OUR TEAM IN THE EAST MIDLANDS.

As an SQL DBA, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our databases across Snowflake, and AWS Cloud environments. You will ensure high availability, performance, and security of our data infrastructure, while supporting the needs of various teams across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and drive database solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

  • Manage and maintain SQL Server, Snowflake, and AWS Cloud databases.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of database systems.
  • Perform database tuning, optimization, and regular backups to ensure data integrity.
  • Monitor database health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for database-related problems.
  • Assist with database design and architecture for new projects and system enhancements.
  • Manage and optimize data storage, indexing, and query performance.
  • Handle migration and upgrades across multiple database environments.
  • Leverage AWS Cloud services to deploy and manage databases.
  • Work with Snowflake to support data warehousing and analytics requirements.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and analytics teams to support business needs.
  • Provide database support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain database documentation and runbooks.
