Description:
SQL DEVELOPER
Connexus Group of Companies offer bespoke insurance products to business partners (B2B) and to retail customers online (B2C).
We are looking for someone to join our business and become part of our business intelligence team to maintain and further develop our data warehouse along with processes built upon SQL and SSIS.
This will need to be skilled in SQL Server, SSIS, Data Warehousing, ETL, migration and administration. Using your skills, you will manage and apply continuous improvement to an existing insurance Data Warehouse which the business has invested significantly in developing over the last 2 years.
CORE SKILLS & EXPERTISE REQUIRED:
· Advanced Microsoft SQL Server 2016+ Knowledge
· Expert level T-SQL
· Performance tuning of T-SQL
· Advance SSRS and SSIS
· Visual Studio (BI Stack)
· Database Management – Incl. capacity planning and performance management.
· Strong data analysis skills
· Solid understanding of DWH Principles and Database design.
· Advance Excel including Power Pivot
· N-Tier Architecture
· Design Patterns and best practices
· Unit test framework experience
· Dependency Injection / Inversion of Control

Responsibilities:
· Further develop existing warehouse and structure reducing manual tasks
· Join inbound data streams together
· Automate the load of data (with minimal manual involvement) in a secure environment.
· Maintain visibility and oversight of incoming and outgoing data submissions ensuring that loads are monitored and completed.
· Develop and apply business logic to the data loads (de-duplication, incorrect payments, invalid data)
· Improve the preparation of outgoing data to underwriters – improve timeliness of moving client money
· Decrease the effort needed to find out information on policy sales
· Work with the business to understand and improve the duplication effort between underwriting and Finance to reconcile
· Develop a mechanism to feedback where data rules are now followed, enabling correction and improvement
· Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
· Create visualizations and reports for requested information
· Develop, update and maintain technical documentation
