Sr. Accountant (Part-Time)

We are searching for a part time temporary Sr. Accountant to support our client with some cleanup work. The selected candidate will be based in OPELIKA, Alabama, and will be instrumental in overseeing GL accounting cleanup work.

• Manage general ledger and conduct cleanup work when necessary.
• Provide support for accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) operations.
• Ensure accurate posting and cleanup in AR and AP.
• Execute on account reconciliation tasks with precision.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliations regularly.
• Prepare and record journal entries as part of the company’s financial procedures.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting and financial tasks.
• Oversee month-end close processes and ensure timely completion.
• Engage in other accounting duties as assigned.
• Must possess skills in Account Reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required.
• Expertise in executing Bank Reconciliations is crucial.
• Must be adept at managing General Ledger.
• Ability to perform Journal Entries is necessary.
• Should be proficient in using Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Month End Close is essential.
• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
