Sr. Accountant

We have partnered with a client in Brevard, NC to source an Accounting professional on a direct hire basis. The ideal candidate for the Accountant role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records related to Accounts Payable (A/P) and the General Ledger (G/L), ensuring full confidentiality and adherence to organizational rules.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
• Minimum of 3 years work experience

• Ensure effective communication on various platforms
• Accurate recording of payrolls and their allocations
• Prepare and enter month-end journal entries, administer audits and compile workpapers for financial audits
• Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Asset subledger, capital project, and Prepaid Expenses
• Aid in the reconciliation of bank and investment accounts, prepare Escheats filings
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Receivable processes, and monthly reconciliations
• Print Vendor Checks upon Supervisor’s approval
• Assist in the annual physical inventory counts
• Maintain petty cash and handle other Accounting tasks, as required
• Act as backup for uploading and reconciling employee’s time and prepare payroll
• Monitoring the access of visitors to maintain security.
