Senior Accountant
A client of ours is looking for a Senior Accountant for a contract role. As the Senior Accountant you will be responsible for reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances. This role requires a thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
Responsibilities of Senior Accountant
Assisting with initial internal control evaluations
Preparing financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations
Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
Assist in the preparation of management reports, including variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
Supporting month-end and year-end close.
Assisting with budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses
Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules
Ensure compliance with local, state, and international financial regulations.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Skills/Qualifications of Senior Accountant
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
5+ years’ experience as a Senior Accountant.
Strong experience with foreign currency transactions and international financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
