Sr. Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Shelby, North Carolina. The Sr. Accountant will have a key role in maintaining and updating our financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations. This role will also provide support for the Controller during monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.

• Update and maintain the general ledger with daily financial transactions.
• Oversee account balances and bank reconciliations.
• Assist the Controller during the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Contribute to annual audit reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and returns.
• Participate in various ad hoc accounting projects, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain thorough and accurate files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and NetSuite for various accounting tasks.
• Contribute to the efficient management of inventory.
• Must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or industry.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Experience in handling Month End Close processes.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar financial management software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional certification such as CPA is an asset.
