We are searching for a Sr. Accountant based in Little Rock, Arkansas, to join our client’s team in the transportation industry. This role will require you to manage the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, conduct detailed analysis and reconciliation of accounts, and maintain adherence to corporate accounting policies.
The salary range will be $70,000 - $80,000 DOE along with phenomenal benefits at this well-established and respected company!

• Spearhead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements
• Conduct meticulous analysis and reconciliation of accounts for accuracy
• Evaluate cash flow and develop budgets and forecasts
• Oversee audits and maintain internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance
• Drive continuous improvement by automating accounting and reporting processes
• Coordinate quarterly reviews and audits with internal and external auditors
• Execute monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, including trends, metrics, and benchmarks
• Actively participate in departmental initiatives to enhance overall efficiency
• Manage ad-hoc projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the transport industry
• Demonstrated proficiency in payroll management
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience with accrual accounting
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Familiarity with financial software and systems is a plus.
