Description:
Exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant seeking managerial experience and a defined growth path! An ideal candidate will have prior public accounting experience, and/or experience working with accounting for a private equity backed company. Any prior supervisory experience (even indirect) is a plus, but not required.
Robert Half has partnered with a reputable company in the area that is a leader in their industry that is experiencing tremendous growth to hire their next Senior Accountant! As a Senior Accountant, you will partner with the Controller and CFO on monthly closings, preparing financial reporting packages, general ledger maintenance, fixed asset maintenance, and more. In additional to traditional G/L responsibilities, this Senior Accountant will be tasked with managing the accounting operations team and helping to streamline procedures, create efficiencies, and help identify strengths of the team members to be used most effectively. You will also play a key role in a system implementation to get internal controls and procedures in place for more accurate reporting. Responsibilities:
- Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
- Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, intercompany entries, fixed assets and depreciation, etc.
- Assist with the month-end closing process by preparing monthly financial statements
- Manage the accounting operations team (to include AP, AR/Billing and PR)
- Implement procedures and policies to streamline processes and create efficiencies for more accurate reporting
- Performing additional special projects upon request

- BA/BS in Accounting or related
- CPA credentials are preferred (will consider CPA candidate)
- Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
- 4+ years of overall general accounting experience (will consider 3+)
- Prior supervisory / team lead / mentoring experience preferred, not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
- Strong work ethic and effective time management skills with ability to prioritize to meet goals / deadlines.
- Experience with large ERP systems / system implementations a plus
