Sr. Accountant

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Renton, Washington. This role is in the healthcare industry, where you will be expected to manage account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.

• Review and reconcile general ledger entries to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Analyze bank reconciliations and rectify discrepancies.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain precise financial data and reports.
• Assist with month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Handle the preparation and posting of journal entries.
• Use your skills with Oracle to manage financial databases and systems.
• Propose entries to clear variances in each account.
• Develop and provide process documentation for preparing and supporting balance sheet reconciliations.
• Conduct additional reconciliations as required to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Work collaboratively with the team to improve financial processes and systems.
• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Previous experience with bank reconciliations is required.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger operations and journal entries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Must have experience in month-end close processes.
• Familiarity with Oracle or similar financial software is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must demonstrate ethical behavior and business practices.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
