Description:

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Seattle, Washington. This role is within the service industry and will involve a variety of responsibilities including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the process of account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Handle balance sheet reconciliation tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Perform bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
  • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date
  • Create journal entries as needed, ensuring they are accurate and complete
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data
  • Perform month-end close activities, including the preparation of financial reports
  • Use NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software for various accounting tasks
  • Ensure all financial records and statements are in line with laws, regulations, and business policies
  • Proactively identify and address any issues or discrepancies in financial records.
  • Possess relevant industry experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role.
  • Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Experience with journal entries preparation and posting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of accounting software like NetSuite is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
