Description:
Our growing and dynamic client is searching for a Sr. Accountant to join their team in the greater Hartford County, Connecticut area. This is an exciting HYBRID long-term interim role with the possibility of permanent employment and a progressing career trajectory. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including managing day-to-day accounting activities, and handling month-end close activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in driving and executing day-to-day accounting activities
- Drive month-end close activities
- Calculate and process journal entries and analyze various account reconciliations
- Ensure general ledger accuracy
- Liaise with auditors and drive audit process
- Lead and participate in various projects and job responsibilities
- Applicant must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or related field. CPA preferred.
- Proficiency in account reconciliation is essential for this role.
- Experience in handling general ledger tasks is required.
- Ability to prepare and manage journal entries is necessary.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
- Experience in corporate treasury is desired.
- The ability to handle month-end close activities is a must.
- Experience in managing monthly accruals is necessary.
- The candidate should have experience in conducting balance sheet reviews.
- Audit experience, particularly in a corporate setting, is essential.
- A strong understanding of CapEx is required
