Description:

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in BRECKSVILLE, Ohio. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, reconciling bank accounts, ensuring compliance with government reporting, and assisting with accounts payable. The role also encompasses preparing analytical reports and financial statements.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep track of all bank account balances on a daily basis, ensuring all transactions are authorized
  • Process accounts payable in a timely manner and ensure all reasonable discounts are taken
  • Conduct the appropriate general ledger account reconciliations
  • Ensure timely payment of CAT and sales taxes
  • Issue accurate monthly financial statements
  • Resolve inquiries related to accounting
  • Review operational transactions for reportable abnormalities
  • Assist with special projects and the preparation of various reports.
  • Must hold a minimum of three years of experience in the role of an accountant or similar position
  • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
  • Demonstrated skills in General Ledger management and Journal Entries
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in managing Month End Close operations
  • Proficiency in NetSuite or similar accounting software
  • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credentials are preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Good organizational and time management abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
  • Knowledge of accounting regulations and standards.
