Description:

We are in search of a Fixed Asset Accountant to assist a manufacturing client in the Twin Cities (on-site position). As a Fixed Asset Accountant, you will be tasked with updating fixed asset records, setting up depreciation schedules, and conducting asset revaluations. This position is expected to be six months in duration.

Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain fixed asset records from recent years.
  • Set up depreciation schedules for newly acquired assets.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of asset valuations and perform revaluations as required.
  • Remove fully depreciated assets from records.
  • Develop and document processes related to fixed asset management.
  • Generate reports useful in the preparation of tax documents.
  • Train existing staff members on the effective use of SAGE software for fixed asset management tasks.
  • Apply skills such as Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Fixed Asset Accounting, Fixed Asset Additions, Fixed Asset Depreciation, Fixed Asset Inventory, Fixed Asset Ledger, Sage 300 in the daily job tasks.
  • Extensive experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • Proficiency in preparing and managing Journal Entries.
  • Expertise in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and reporting.
  • Solid understanding and experience with Fixed Asset Accounting.
  • Experience in handling Fixed Asset Additions.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Asset Depreciation procedures and processes.
  • Ability to manage and maintain Fixed Asset Inventory.
  • Experience in managing and updating the Fixed Asset Ledger.
  • Proficiency in using Sage 300 for fixed assets.
