Description:
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for the role of Sr. Accountant in Hartford, Connecticut. The chosen candidate will be expected to work in the healthcare industry and will be responsible for several key financial functions.
Responsibilities:
- Handle account reconciliations meticulously and efficiently
- Look after balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure accurate journal entries are made in a timely manner
- Work on month-end and year-end close process diligently
- Use Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks
- Maintain a clear record of all transactions in Oracle
- Assist in bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Oversee general ledger entries and rectify discrepancies
- Utilize your knowledge of the healthcare industry in all financial matters.
- Must possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.
- Proficiency in General Ledger management and Journal Entries is required.
- Should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with Month End Close procedures is a necessity for this role.
- Familiarity with Oracle for database management is desirable.
- Prior experience within the HealthCare Industry will be considered advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising on work quality.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
- Must have a strong ethical stance towards work, ensuring confidentiality and integrity in dealing with financial information.
