Description:
We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to assist our client in San Francisco. This role is a fully remote, long-term contract opportunity. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for various accounting tasks such as account and bank reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and handling month-end close procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Perform bank reconciliations to confirm all transactions align with company records.
- Utilize your knowledge of NetSuite and other accounting software like Oracle and SAP to streamline processes and procedures.
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.
- Prepare and post journal entries, assisting in maintaining the overall integrity of the general ledger.
- Carry out balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Conduct flux analysis to identify significant changes or variances in account balances.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial reporting and analysis tasks.
- Leverage your experience in large companies to navigate complex accounting systems and processes.
- Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is mandatory
- Experience in maintaining and managing General Ledger
- Ability to prepare and maintain Journal Entries
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in Month End Close procedures
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is desirable
- Must have a thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
