Description:

Our client, in the Greenspoint area, is looking to hire an experienced Senior Accountant to support the corporate accounting activities for this growing organization on a permanent basis. Tenure is important to this manager and his team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Seeking 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting.
Display adaptability to work extended hours during financial reporting close.
Exhibit independent work capabilities within a fast-paced environment, adeptly managing shifting priorities and meeting deadlines.
Possess proficient computer skills, as the role requires interaction with multiple software applications.
Showcase strong analytical abilities and a foundation of technical accounting knowledge.
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
Highlight exceptional organizational proficiency.
Prove your commitment to ethics, professionalism, and discretion.
Embrace a meticulous attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
4+ yrs of accounting experience through financial statement preparation and preparing a financial reporting package
ERP – like SAP or Oracle
Advanced MS Excel

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the monthly/quarterly close process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of entries for designated areas.
Help to deliver precise financial statements and reports to management, contributing to informed decision-making.
Conduct comprehensive analysis and reconciliations of income statement and balance sheet accounts, investigating discrepancies from forecasts and historical trends.
Collaborate closely with the Operations team, providing insights and solutions for accounting and financial inquiries.
Champion ongoing enhancements within the group, implementing streamlined processes and meticulously documenting procedures.
Provide support for interim and year-end reporting, addressing audit requirements, and assisting external auditors if necessary.
Collaborate with the FP& A team, aiding in budget and forecast activities. Challenge operational assumptions to underpin effective variance analysis.
Flexibly embrace additional duties as directed by management.
