Description:
Robert Half is supporting the recruiting efforts of a company in the real estate industry to find a Senior Accountant. This is a full time, permanent position in Downtown Denver. Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and regulations, including fund accounting and restricted funds management.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and variance analysis to support financial sustainability and strategic planning efforts within the nonprofit real estate portfolio.
Grant & Fund Management: Oversee the tracking and reporting of grant funds, including preparation of grant budgets, financial reports, and ensuring compliance with donor restrictions and reporting requirements.
Property Accounting & Management: Manage accounting operations for the real estate portfolio, including property-specific budgeting, revenue recognition from rental income, expense tracking, and maintenance of accurate property asset records.
Audit & Internal Controls: Coordinate and prepare for annual audits, ensuring the organization adheres to nonprofit regulations and best practices for financial transparency. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and enhance financial integrity.
Reports to: CFO
Bachelors Degree
Experience with Sage Intacct required
5+ years of experience in A-Z Accounting
Nonprofit a plus
