Sr. Accountant

Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a strong accounting consultant to support our municipal client on a 3+ month on-site engagement. This consultant will be backfilling for a recently retired senior accountant, and report into the accounting supervisor to take over recurring close responsibilities and audit support. Responsibilities are expected to include, but are not limited to, responding to auditor inquiries and pulling schedules (PBC list), preparing journal entries and accruals, fixed assets accounting, grant reporting, schedule roll-forwards, preparing financial statements, account and bank reconciliations, and ad hoc analysis. The ideal consultant will demonstrate a willingness to roll-up-their sleeves to catch-up on outstanding reconciliations and an eagerness to learn new skills! on a

• Prior experience using ONESolution or similar GL software
• Ability to work independently supporting a month-end close cycle
• Experience supporting audits (pulling schedules, responding to auditors, PBC lists)
• Prior experience in municipal or non-profit settings preferred (grant accounting)
• Ability to work a four 10-hour schedule on-site (Mon-Thurs) in the South Bay
