Description:
Robert Half is looking for a Sr. Accountant to assist a government client. This role is 100% on-site in Downtown Miami, Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliation procedures and rectify any discrepancies
- Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy in financial records
- Maintain and manage the general ledger, including the preparation of journal entries
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
- Ensure month end close procedures are carried out efficiently and effectively
- Operate NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting functions
- Work on special projects as assigned by the management team.
- Possess advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning software such as Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite is required.
- Must have experience with balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliation.
- Demonstrated experience in performing general ledger functions.
- Ability to prepare and post journal entries as required.
- Experience in executing month-end close procedures.
- Must have a strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills to assess financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various internal teams.
- Attention to detail and precision in financial reporting and data analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
- Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
- Proven experience as a senior accountant or similar role in the accounting/finance sector.
