Job Description
Senior Accountant to support Sales and Aftermarket Commercial activities
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of Sub Regional Financial Controller and Finance Manager, the role will lead the Financial Planning & Analysis activities for Sales and Aftermarket pillar which includes, but not limited to the following

  • Conduct GL reviews for overheads & Other costs based on trend analysis to spot any sharp increases or decreases and investigate reasons for variance
  • Bi-weekly forecast and weekly actual reporting of Orders and Sales
  • Monthly Profit and Loss variance analysis & Monthly Sales variance analysis
  • Financial analysis of high value projects (SR1/SR2) rolling forecasts and actuals
  • Preparation of annual budgets, presentation packs, followed by quarterly rolling forecasts
  • Collaboration with AR accountant on Customer cash collection
  • Preparation of AR Overdue performance report
  • Support month end close process, including balance sheet reconciliation, monthly balance sheet review, minimum controls submission
  • Participate / lead process improvements and system enhancement
  • Promptly respond to any ad-hoc information needs from Divisional, Regional and Local commercial teams
  • Actively participate in testing and support timely closures of any open points with internal & external auditors for relevant areas
  • Timely and accurate submission of results and monthly reporting
  • In-depth financial analysis to support the business decisions
  • Strong credit control to support cash collections
  • Effective Internal controls

The Individual

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience - B.Com. / MBA/CA/CPA with Minimum 6 years
  • Good communication Advanced Excel skill is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP or other major ERP system Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Strong business sense and change management skills.
  • High degree of independence
  • Team player with excellent people skills
