Sr. Accounting Analyst

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accounting Analyst in St Paul, Minnesota. This position plays a critical role in our finance department, with tasks ranging from managing general ledger entries to preparing and analyzing financial statements. This role also requires ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulations and involves working both independently and as part of a team to maintain the accuracy of our financial records.

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and timely posting of entries.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including the creation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate and assist with external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Manage and actively participate in accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing financial insights and analysis to senior management.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Assist in managing customer credit applications and maintaining accurate customer credit records.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required.
• Demonstrated experience in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Experience in Month End Close process is necessary.
• Knowledge of accounting software including NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is required.
• Ability to conduct Ad Hoc Financial Analysis and regular Financial Analysis.
• Experience in Audit and Financial Audit is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
