McKesson is hiring a Senior Administrative Assistant in Richmond. The Sr. Administrative Assistant will support the Finance department for McKesson Medical-Surgical.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Provides administrative support to Finance leadership team. Requires thorough knowledge of company operations, policies, and procedures. Provides high-level administrative support to Finance leadership, ensuring the efficient operation of executive activities. Responsibilities include managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings and travel arrangements, preparing and editing documents, handling confidential information, and acting as a liaison between executives and internal/external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and adept at multitasking, with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. They will work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
5+ years advanced administrative support experience working with senior level executives within and outside the company, customers, visitors, and other dignitaries.
CRITICAL SKILLS
- 5+ years experience providing administrative/executive support to corporate executives in a large organization
- 5+ years experience arranging airline, hotel and car rental reservations and expense reporting and management
- 3+ years experience working in a dual project-based and task-oriented role
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel. PowerPoint, One Drive and SharePoint across devices)
- Advanced proficiency with WebEx Conference tools across multiple devices
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- High degree of flexibility, adaptability, confidentiality, discretion, diplomacy and tact
- Ability to handle confidential information and exercise sound judgment is critical
- Attention to detail is a must
- Ability to work under general direction, on multiple tasks with demanding timelines
- Event planning experience (small events)
- Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary to prioritize assignments and multi-task
- Professional, calm demeanor and presentation, with strong interpersonal skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong sense of urgency
- Collaborative and team-based approach to problem solving
EDUCATION
HS Diploma, Vocational Training, Professional Certification or Equivalent. An AA degree is preferred.
