Job Description
The Strategy & Business Development team at Universal Studio Group plays a key role in optimizing business decisions and driving continuous improvement across the organization. The team is a key business partner to the Chairman Universal Studio Group, USG’s senior leadership team, and broader NBCUniversal Studio Group executive leadership.
The Strategy & Business Development team is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our group. Specific projects will include assisting in the TV financial modeling process, market research, data analysis, and assisting on various ad hoc analytical projects to support strategic planning. The role will report to the VP, Strategy and Business Development.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree; ideally in economics, finance, accounting, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate strategy, business development or strategic planning in a leading media company

  • Must be willing to work in Universal City, California
  • Must have work authorization to work in the United States
  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare material for USG executive presentations (e.g., Town Halls, Operational Reviews, Executive Talking points, etc.) and building/executing strategic plans and analyses
  • Assist in preparing financial models related to show financing, business development, and M&A opportunities
  • Prepare strategic market analyses to optimize product mix and identify potential areas of future growth
  • Formulate presentations for executive management on current USG business initiatives
  • Assist in building regular industry updates, competitor benchmarking, and other related presentations for USG senior leadership team
  • Ongoing support for USG Finance teams (FP&A through monthly and quarterly pacing, show volume tracking, ultimates analysis, series margin reviews and greenlight analysis and ad hoc management reporting
