WORK AT RADFORMATION

Cancer rates increase year after year, yet high-quality care is not universal. By automating and standardizing the treatment planning workflow, Radformation aims to create a system where any patient anywhere can receive the same high-quality care.
We strive daily to reduce cancer’s global impact and help save more of the 10 million lives it claims each year. Our unwavering commitment is to deliver reliable, high-quality, automated solutions that allow clinics to standardized care for every single person in need.
Radformation is seeking a self-directed Senior Applied Research Scientist to join our innovative and fast moving team. This role is ideal for someone who wishes to develop novel radiotherapy algorithms and use their skills to improve cancer care throughout the world. You will work within Radformation’s fully remote teams to develop analytical dose calculation algorithms and related radiation oncology software.
The Senior Applied Research Scientist is responsible for all aspects of novel algorithm development, including user research, problem statement and definition, prototyping, defining validation methods, validating proposed solutions, documenting algorithm performance, and translating prototypes into engineered solutions together with our software engineering teams.
Applied Scientists are able to take a solution from concept to product. Your research skills, experience, and knowledge will play a key role in helping us design new products for cancer centers.

  • Deep understanding of Monte Carlo simulation methods used for dose calculation in Radiotherapy.
  • Deep understanding of traditional dose calculation methods (Pencil Beam, CVSP, etc).
  • Able to formulate experiment design and run experiments while developing new algorithms and technology.
  • Able to stay current with state-of-the-art algorithmic techniques.
  • Experience conceiving, implementing, and maintaining clinically used software solutions
Salary listed is in USD for US-based employees and will be commensurate with experience. Salary range will vary for international candidates and be commensurate with experience and geographical location.

Responsibilities:
