Description:

OVERVIEW

We’re seeking a customer centric marketer with exceptional focus on growth for a Senior Associate, Product Marketing role. This associate will partner closely with teams across marketing, product, design, strategy and research to influence how we talk about our cards in-market and ensure we incorporate the customer lens into product strategy. They will help to execute on our strategies to optimize our existing products, while also assessing new opportunities through the lens of our customers’ needs, all with the goal of driving acquisitions growth, so that we can help even more Canadians succeed with credit.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce or related field
  • 2+ years experience in a marketing role with a strong analytical background
  • 2+ years experience launching cross-channel, targeting marketing campaigns
  • Previous experience working with an internal or external creative design team
  • Previous experience working with internal or external research teams to design and execute studies
  • Proficient with Excel or Google Sheets to interpret data

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in basic coding and/or data visualization (e.g. SQL, Python, Tableau, QuickSight)
  • Experience in Product Marketing (e.g.. experience working on positioning statements, value propositions, and segmentation strategies)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex topics with a variety of audiences

Responsibilities:

  • Influence product strategy and roadmaps by bringing to the table your deep expertise of our customer, competitive landscape, and full suite of Capital One’s products and services.
  • Leverage customer data, research and observations to craft actionable insights that help inform optimal marketing strategies (i.e. messaging, segmentation & targeting, positioning, channels etc.) and product decisions to drive more acquisitions.
  • Partner with analysts to develop tests that determine the optimal way to support, grow and communicate with customers to drive action.
  • Partner with our research teams to oversee the execution and optimization of our research roadmap to effectively evaluate product opportunities and marketing strategies
  • Help support the development and execution of marketing plans, including: positioning, messaging, creative and channel decisions, campaign briefing, test design and targeting in partnership with internal teams, results monitoring, and communicating results to key stakeholders.
  • Develop and conduct regular competitive reviews to help inform product strategies, testing agendas, and marketing tactics (i.e. messaging, channels, and segmentation & targeting strategies)
  • Educate the core team (and beyond) on who our customers are to help influence how we develop products, make decisions and prioritize our efforts
