What You’ll Be Doing
As a Market Data Business System Analyst, your primary role will be ensuring collection of information, accurate requirement gathering, data analysis, documentation of information, and presentation of findings to advance initiatives and ensure project success. You’ll be required to work independently, with minimal guidance, and collaborate with internal CIBC stakeholders (Investment Advisors, directors, resources from the US, local lines of business, Legal, Risk Management, etc.) and external parties (regulatory agencies, supplier organizations).

How You’ll Succeed
- Relationship Management – Serve as the point of contact for a specific set of vendor, business and technology groups. Establish and maintain healthy working relationships with business partners, suppliers, and peers. Help clients meet their business goals by providing better service and value. Focus on each client experience and make every interaction meaningful.
- Influencing, Negotiating and Problem Solving – Support the business and technology groups to identify cost reduction opportunities. Comply with CIBC’s Business polices and Vendor Governance policies and process. Listen, ask questions, and put yourself in the client’s shoes. Act like an owner by taking accountability for client issues and know when to collaborate with others to build a better solution together.
- Manage Multiple Priorities - Use effective self-management practices to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation while keeping abreast of the industry knowledge, innovations and advancements in business practices and technologies
- Risk Management - Ensure the appropriate Governance is followed and adhered to for all vendor contracts. Maintain detailed inventory of Market Data and Technology Services for the respective business and technology groups
Who You Are
- You can demonstrate experience with: Processing data and making reports via MS Excel. Preferable if you have previous experience using EMRS for Bloomberg/SEA for Refinitiv plus a solid understanding of Exchange polices, in addition to having worked on a Market Data Inventory system such as MDSL. An Asset is you have experience using ServiceNow, SQL and knowledge of Market Data Services.
- You have a degree/diploma in in Business and/or recognized professional designation (e.g. PMAC or equivalent and extensive knowledge of the financial & technology services industry).
