POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Buyer to join our procurement team. The Senior Buyer will play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials and components essential for our railing manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and supply chain optimization.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts, reducing costs, and improving supplier performance.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, conduct market analysis, and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of railing industry standards, materials, and manufacturing processes is desirable.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
• Experience creating reports and presentations in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or constructionindustry softwareinaprofessional
• Experience with Sage is an asset.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of raw materials, components, and services required for railing manufacturing.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier assessments, and negotiate favorable terms and contracts to achieve cost savings and quality standards.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, including monitoring delivery schedules, quality assurance, and resolving any supply chain issues or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, project management, design, fabrication, and paint to align procurement activities with production schedules and project timelines.
• Analyze market trends, industry developments, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for process improvement, risk mitigation, and cost optimization.
• Lead supplier selection processes, including RFQs and supplier evaluations, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, pricing agreements, and supplier performance metrics.
