EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling or Doctorate in Psychology.
  • Current DC license as LICSW, LPC or PsyD. Five years’ experience working in Behavioral Health setting with two years progressive management experience.
  • Driving is required. Must have valid local license and clean driving record.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Leadership ability. Ability to look beyond existing methodologies to define and resolve complex problems.
  • Ability to engage in and monitor decision-making process for complex issues that may require new and creative solutions.
  • Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a specialized team of direct care staff including Community Support Specialists, Outreach/Engagement Specialists, Clinical Care Coordinator and RN Care Manager through a variety of activities including:
  • Provide supervision to the SEMP Manager including coordination of new referrals and completion of initial assessment.
  • Provide clinical supervision to SEMP specialists through regular team meetings.
  • Provide administrative and clinical supervision to the Housing Supervisor and ensure coordinated process for consumers referral to appropriate housing resources.
  • Provides fiscal oversight of Housing Services budget, including development, monthly review and feedback to management.
  • Ensure compliance with DC Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services (MHRS) regulations through targeted trainings, monthly meetings and quality assurance activities.
  • Advocate for access to appropriate services for consumers through understanding of the D.C. behavioral health system and developing constructive relationships with community partners.
  • Provide leadership to promote quality improvement activities through a variety of activities including attendance at Quality Improvement (QI) meetings, reviewing performance indicators, and development of quality improvement initiatives as needed to ensure high quality services and documentation.
  • Develop a positive and supportive work environment to promote employee satisfaction and retention including implementation of employee recognition activities.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
