Description:

We are offering a 6-month contract employment opportunity for a Senior Compensation Analyst in SAINT PAUL, Minnesota. As part of our team, you will be instrumental in overhauling our compensation structure, reducing salary grades, placing employees in appropriate salary structures, and conducting compensation surveys. This role is ideally suited for candidates with experience in Compensation Administration, Compensation Benchmarking, Compensation Surveys, and Compensation Analysis.

Responsibilities • Revamp existing compensation structure to ensure competitiveness and alignment with company goals. • Manage compensation benchmarking processes, including participation in external surveys. • Conduct comprehensive compensation analysis to support business decisions. • Identify and implement strategies to reduce grades and salary plans. • Ensure employees are placed in appropriate salary structures based on their roles and responsibilities. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of compensation trends and legislation to ensure compliance. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the compensation needs of different job classifications. • Develop and manage a compensation manual outlining the company’s salary plans and grades. • Provide guidance and training to HR and management on compensation-related issues. • Use compensation surveys to guide compensation decisions.

  • Proficiency in Compensation Administration is required.
  • Expertise in Compensation Benchmarking is necessary.
  • Experience in conducting Compensation Surveys is essential.
  • Ability to perform Compensation Analysis is mandatory.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required.
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS and compensation software systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to compensation.
  • detail oriented certification such as Certified Compensation detail oriented (CCP) is desirable.
