    Amazon’s Compensation team is seeking a Senior Compensation Consultant to provide compensation guidance and support to our Amazon Web Services (AWS) business across EMEA.     As a Sr. Compensation Consultant, you will be responsible for supporting the compensation needs of the AWS organization in EMEA through both analytical and consultant services. The incumbent will work directly with the HR leadership, and Management to achieve system objectives and provide hands-on assistance related to all areas of compensation analysis.
    We are looking for candidates who have the aptitude to understand our complex data, and be detailed and accurate from start to finish in developing programs and completing projects. The successful candidate will proactively partner with client-facing HR Business Partners and HR Management along with Business leadership to identify and address compensation issues, and evangelize Amazon’s Total Compensation Philosophy and Strategy to the clients supported. This position is expected to represent the client’s point-of-view in key corporate compensation initiatives and the corporate point-of-view with client groups.
    The role can be based out of Munich, Dubai, Luxembourg or London.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing the organizations compensation strategy so that outcomes meet current and future business needs and are consistent with the desired internal and external market position
  • Actively engages with senior leadership on compensation matters.
  • Understanding and contributing to annual regional strategy and business performance measurements and how compensation strategy supports them
  • Advocating for, designing and delivering mid-size compensation plans for stand-alone business groups and or sub-regions
  • Independently conceptualizing complex Amazon rules and apply them to a unique independent market with no rules in place – translate and apply Amazon specific philosophy to local practices and programs, by identification of right market source
  • Providing and organizing/tailoring data and feedback on business strategy, advocates for the right outcomes with focus on execution
  • Informing global/market expansion plans and site launch
  • Using business knowledge to influence business management, inform and set Compensation goals for EMEA.
  • Bachelors degree in Economic or Mathematics with very strong orientation to analytics.
  • Prior experience in a line role and consulting firm would be an advantage.
