QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on continuous improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies (Black Belt certification preferred), and other improvement techniques.
  • Proven track record of leading successful continuous improvement initiatives in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

The Sr. Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible for leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across the food manufacturing plant. This role involves developing and driving strategies that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality in all aspects of the manufacturing process. The Sr. Continuous Improvement Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement, utilizing lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to achieve operational excellence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy aligned with the company’s goals.
  • Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other improvement techniques.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction throughout the manufacturing process
  • Build and mentor a high-performing continuous improvement team.
  • Provide training and development to employees at all levels on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the organization.
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and achievement of project goals.
  • Utilize project management tools and techniques to track progress and ensure sustainability of improvements.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on improvement activities and outcomes to senior management.
  • Work closely with operations, quality assurance, engineering, and other departments to identify and implement improvements.
  • Engage with suppliers and customers to drive improvements in the supply chain and product quality.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success.
  • Monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with Company Procedures.
  • Approve the vacation requests.
  • Carry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure.
  • Issue disciplinary action when needed.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
