JOB SUMMARY

Job Profile Summary
Accurately process all Union Benefit bills for Health & Welfare and Pension benefits provided by the COD union agreements as well as maintaining the personnel records for Cleveland, Akron, and Canton retail locations. The incumbent will successfully audit, track and pay all Union-administered benefits as well as track and communicate activities to determine necessary correction for current and past billings

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze multiple retail monthly H&W, Pension and CER reports to ensure accurate payments/contributions to locals based on employee benefit eligibility as well as ensuring that Giant Eagle is in compliance with ACA. Analyze supplemental billings for active, terminated and ineligible employees including under / over payments. Communicate same to locals for necessary billing adjustments. Research and respond to union inquiries regarding billing discrepancies. Analyze supplemental billings for active, terminated and ineligible employees including under/over payments. Communicate same to locals for necessary billing adjustments
  • Manage and oversee all activities relating to confidential HR files including, personnel, terminations, harassment, and lawsuit files.
  • Manage personal LOA process including approval/denial and communication. Prepare and track ‘"Where are you” letters. Manage TLDP file review process. Prepare and track all Union Lead/Leader offer letters in North/West Division. Oversee and coordinate store transfers. Monitor, and report on, new hire professional experience credit data entry for accuracy while ensuring necessary corrections are made.
  • Process payroll for the North and West HR divisions. Manage and oversee HR budget for supplies for the North/West Division.
  • Prepare and track severance and buyout agreements as necessary
  • Assist with other assignments and project as needed.
