Description:

We are in search of a Sr. Corporate Tax Accountant to join our team in the wine industry located in Napa, California. In this role, you will be expected to handle a variety of accounting tasks, including processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize knowledge of accounting software systems to process and manage financial data
  • Handle accounts payable and accrual accounting activities
  • Conduct regular auditing to ensure accuracy of financial information
  • Utilize ADP - Financial Services and BlackLine for managing financial transactions
  • Work with Concur and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for efficient resource management
  • Maintain balance sheet account, ensuring it is up-to-date and accurate
  • Perform other accounting functions as required to support the financial operations of the organization
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely manner
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as required
  • Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services
  • Expertise in using BlackLine and Concur
  • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Mastery of general Accounting Functions
  • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Knowledge of Accrual Accounting
  • Proven ability in Auditing
  • Experience in managing Balance Sheet Account
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax accounting, preferably in the wine industry
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws
  • Experience with tax preparation software and reporting systems.
