Description:

SENIOR COST & PROJECT ACCOUNTANT:

Ensure accurate valuation of MEA Plant inventory in accordance with US GAAP and company policy. Creating standard cost for raw items and finished goods. Review Factory P&Ls junior accountants. Build Project Costing and work closely with Sales Organization to support profitable growth. Support the Plant Controller in periodic finance review, operations review, identification of areas for operational improvements. Co-ordinate with IT support / WA IT team to resolve any ERP/ System support / update activity. Be Oracle Finance super user and actively engage in intelligent automation drive.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • Accounting or Finance Degree
  • MBA/CPA or other accreditations are advantageous but not vital

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Proper inventory valuation and annual revaluation for Plant Inventory in Dubai and Jubail.
  • Review/prepare monthly Plant P&Ls and related cost accounting reports. Support E&O calculations, inventory reconciliation
  • Preparation of Plant PORs and Budgets under the supervision of the MEA Controller.
  • Engage and lead HUB financial close activities and upload – inventory and accruals.
  • Maintain clean Balance Sheet schedules for Plant.
  • Prepare and maintain MEA Capex spend tracker and plan. Forecast vs Actual
  • Owns the Jubail to fuel Oracle transition. Highlight and resolve any system challenges
  • Engage and lead Plant annual inventory count and complete variance report and follow up.
  • Liaise with Global and WA IT team/ IT support team for any Oracle or other ERP issues and drive the solution.
  • Coordination/provision of training of other team members of Oracle developments and changes as Oracle Finance super users.
  • Provide margin analysis for projects at award and post execution to Sales Director.
  • Work closely with operations and drive process standardizations. Initiate cost reduction strategies. Prepare management reports defining key indicators and metrics and provide comprehensive variance analysis.
  • Develop and detail HUB accounting processes; ensure team is accurately educated and updated for Oracle functionality and other ERP.
  • Drive the intelligent automation program and represent finance team. Be part of the training and share knowledge with the team
  • Any other duties as deemed by your line manager
  • Not much travel required. Once a year travel to Jubail site to support annual inventory.

  • 5+ Years Experience in Corporate Accounting or Finance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office in general, expertise in Excel and PowerPoint. Ability & interest in quickly learning to extract data from other business systems (JDE, Hyperion, Oracle). Keen on details
