Overview:
Gallagher Bassett is searching for a meticulous and experienced Senior Data Integration (ETL) Developer to join our talented team. Your central responsibility as the Data Architect will be to develop, optimize and oversee conceptual and logical data systems.
To succeed in this role, you must be able to conceive and portray the data picture. This individual initiates, evaluates, and influences projects, he or she is involved from the perspective of the entire organization. The ideal candidate will also have proven experience in data modeling, data integration, data analysis, with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

  • This is a Temp-To-Hire, W-2 position. We are not able to do 1099 or C2C.
  • It is a fully remote role that will need to be based in the U.S. and Canada

How you’ll make an impact:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software using Python programming language.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest Python developments and best practices.
  • Design and implement effective and scalable solutions to store and retrieve organization data.
  • Responsible for the architecture, modeling, design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of the ETL, procedures and structures which populate and grow our databases, data marts and tables.
  • Provide direction to less experience ETL developers on solution design and implementation. Ensuring standards are being followed.
  • Develop data flows that can leverage both on premise and cloud architectures.
  • Work with stakeholders including the business analytics teams and IS architecture teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

About you:

Job Qualifications:

  • 7+ years’ experience in building scalable enterprise data integration solutions; preferred on the Microsoft SQL Server, nice to have Azure Data Warehouse/Database platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Python Developer with a strong portfolio of projects.
  • In-depth understanding of the Python software development stacks, ecosystems, frameworks and tools such as Numpy, Pandas, Pyarrow
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
  • Proficiency with data integration tools such as SISS and Azure Data Factory (ADF), in-depth hands-on experience with SQL, TSQL, and data formats such as XML and JSON. SSIS and T-SQL is necessary. ADF is nice to have
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools
  • In-depth understanding of data integration, data quality, and multi-dimensional design.
  • Proven experience with implementing data warehouse architecture standards, processes, and methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities with problem solving skills.
  • Able to hit the ground running with a can-do attitude.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant field.
