You Are:
UST is searching for a Sr. Data Operations Engineer who will identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including infrastructure redesign for greater scalability and optimization of data delivery.

The Opportunity:

• Data Pipeline Development: Lead the development, testing, and deployment of data pipelines, data analytics efforts, proactive issue identification, automation, and ing mechanisms.
• Large Data Management: Work with large datasets (multi-TB/PB scale) from various sources and manage data at high velocity to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaboration with Teams: Partner with the Insider Risk team to define and refine detection use cases, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and alignment with business objectives.
• Exploratory Data Analysis: Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights, validate model assumptions, and optimize detection accuracy

What You Need:

• Cloud Infrastructure: Proven experience in Azure and AWS administration, with troubleshooting and optimization skills.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and Databricks environments.
• Programming Languages: Expertise in Python, Scala, Spark, PySpark, and SQL.
• Scripting: Proficient in scripting languages such as Perl, Shell, PowerShell, etc.
• Large Dataset Management: Strong experience working with large data sets at a multi-TB/PB scale, managing complex data operations at scale.
• Data Analytics & Optimization: Good understanding of data analytics, data optimization, and machine learning techniques.
• Containerization: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
