Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing replacement part solutions in support of worldwide Service Parts demand. Primary responsibility is to provide engineering definition and development of replacement part solutions for package and controls parts due to supplier and part obsolescence. Primary areas of focus will be on electric motors, valves (check, control, ball, regulator, solenoid), pump/motor assemblies, fan assemblies, heat exchangers, enclosure panels, hose and pipe design, and control system components. Daily work tasks include the following, as applicable:
- Define part/assembly design, drawing creation (source control, retrofit kit) and dimensional review with proper part numbering and taxonomy
- Collaboration with suppliers to define replacement part or assembly
- Interface and collaborate with hydromechanical system design engineers and SMEs
- Define kits as required to bridge form/fit/function differences including installation instructions
- Part/assembly modeling as required
- Manage technical questions from the field
- INFO code analysis and supporting technical documentation as required
- Part end-of-life identification and technical documentation as required
Define component/assembly change documentation
Basic Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of turbomachinery products including engine, package systems, controls, and gas compressors.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Top Candidates Have:
- Experience with gas turbine control systems is preferred.
- Experience with hydromechanical systems is preferred.
- Experience using Creo, PLM (Windchill item setup and Change Management), and ERP systems.

Summary Pay Range:
$104,649.00 - $156,973.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
