QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field with a focus on radar technology and/or RF systems.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in radar system design, development, and integration within the semiconductor industry.
- Proven track record in developing radar technology for automotive, defense, or consumer electronics applications.
- Experience with radar signal processing, including techniques such as FFT, beamforming, and Doppler processing.
- Hands-on experience with radar hardware, including RF front-ends, antennas, and associated semiconductor components.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of radar principles, including wave propagation, signal reflection, and radar cross-section.
- Proficiency in using simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, HFSS, or CST for radar system modeling and design.
- Experience with radar system testing and validation, including the use of specialized equipment like vector network analyzers and signal generators.
- Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and their impact on radar component performance.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work on complex, interdisciplinary projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-experts.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in automotive radar (e.g., ADAS) or millimeter-wave radar systems or UWB radar
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques as applied to radar signal processing.
- Publications or patents in the field of radar technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technical Leadership:
- Serve as the primary expert on radar technology, providing guidance and expertise to engineering teams.
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of radar systems, including antennas, RF front-ends, and signal processing algorithms.
- Ensure that radar technologies meet industry standards and are integrated effectively into semiconductor solutions.
- Drive research and development initiatives in radar technology, focusing on cutting-edge advancements and their integration with semiconductor devices.
- Identify and propose new technologies and methodologies to enhance radar performance and capabilities.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to develop prototypes and proof-of-concept models.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IC designers, software developers, and system engineers, to ensure seamless integration of radar technology in product designs.
- Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Present technical findings and project updates to internal teams and external clients.
- Product Development:
- Contribute to the full lifecycle of product development, from concept through production, ensuring that radar technologies are effectively integrated.
- Oversee testing and validation of radar systems to ensure they meet required specifications and performance criteria.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address any challenges related to the production of radar-enabled semiconductor products.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all radar technology solutions comply with relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., FCC, ETSI).
- Stay updated on emerging regulations and standards related to radar technology and advise on necessary adjustments to designs and processes.
- Mentorship and Training:
- Mentor junior engineers and provide training to team members on radar technology and related areas.
